How to switch LiteRadio 4 joystick operation mode

1.Preparation

Please complete the following preparations in advance.

• Install the BETAFPV Configurator:https://github.com/BETAFPV/BETAFPV_Configurator/releases/tag/V2.0.1

2.Swap Joystick position

First, remove the two anti-slip rubber pads on the back of the remote control.

Use a cross screwdriver to loosen the 10 screws securing the remote control back cover.

After removing the screws, please lift the rear cover forward at about a 90-degree angle, then disconnect the battery and switch connection cable, and finally completely separate the front and rear shells.

Disconnect the joystick from the mainboard, then loosen the screws securing the mainboard.

Lift the motherboard upwards at about a 90-degree angle, then disconnect the ribbon cable and antenna from the motherboard, and completely separate the motherboard.

Loosen the screws on both sides securing the joystick and remove the joystick.

The following is the installation sequence for mode 2 and mode 1 joysticks. Please install the joystick according to the required mode and tighten the screws to secure the Joystick. When installing the joystick, please pay attention to the orientation of the joystick connection cable.

After completing the joystick installation, connect the button ribbon cable and antenna to the mainboard.

Tighten the screws that secure the mainboard, then connect the joystick and battery cables to the mainboard. Please pay attention to the connection order of the joystick cable to the mainboard (the connection order for mode 1 and mode 2 is the same).

Connect the switch ribbon cable on the back cover to the motherboard.

Finally, secure the rear cover by tightening the 10 fixing screws and install the non-slip rubber grip.

3.Modify Joystick mapping mode

Connect the remote control to the computer, open the BETAFPV configurator, click to switch to the remote control configuration program, and then click to connect.

Please select the desired operation mode here, and after making changes, click save to make the settings effective.

4.Calibrating the Joystick

After switching to joystick mode, please complete a remote control calibration for the remote to function properly.

Joystick calibration consists of two stages, the first stage is to calibrate the joystick center position and the second stage is to calibrate the joystick boundaries. 

• Turn on the radio transmitter.
• Long press the SETUP button on the bottom of the radio transmitter to enter the first stage of the joysticks calibration state.
• Move all joysticks to the middle position. 

• Press the setup button briefly, the radio transmitter will record the center point of the joysticks and enter the second stage.
• Toggle the joysticks, gently touch the four boundaries: up, down, left and right.

• Short press the SETUP button again, the radio transmitter will record the joystick boundaries and complete the calibration.
