How to update the firmware for the AIO serial receiver

File Preparation

Note for Mac users: This step is not required.

Before upgrading the firmware, please download the necessary executable file.
 

USB Drive exe：STM32 VCP Driver.rar

Driver Installation

  1. Install the driver by following the provided installation guide.

2. After installation is complete, open the Device Manager on your computer.

3. Connect the flight controller to your computer using a USB cable.
 
4. In the Device Manager, check under Ports (COM & LPT) for a new COM port assigned to the flight controller. Please note this COM name, as it will be needed later. In the example below, the flight controller is assigned to COM3. (The specific COM port name may vary on different computers.) The appearance of a new COM port confirms the driver was installed successfully.

NOTE: If a new COM port does not appear in the Device Manager, try using a different USB cable. Ensure the cable is capable of data transfer, not just charging.

 

Flasing Firmware

Required Program

Please visit the link provided (Chrome Browser Recommended), and enter the ExpressLRS Flasher page.

Target Selection

Select the correct target based on your specific product.

Important: Flashing the incorrect target may damage the hardware. Please verify the correct target for your product on its description page before proceeding.

Firmware Configuration

After selecting the target, click "NEXT" to proceed to the firmware configuration page.

The receiver flashing method is illustrated below:

Important Notifications Before Flashing

During this process, please close BETAFLIGHT configurator

  1. The FC won't be recognized when it is connected to Betaflight Configurator or other software.

Turn off Telemetry In Betaflight Configurator , save and reboot,then disconnect Betaflight Configurator.

Flashing Firmware

  1. After completing firmware configuration, click "NEXT" to enter flashing page. When entering the page, the page will pop up a COM selection notification, choose the one that showed up during COM config and proceed.

2. On the flashing page:

  1. Select the "Full Chip Erase" option.
  2. Click the "Flash" button.

3. Ensure the page state is ready for flashing as shown below. If not, click "Try Again".

4. Wait for the process to complete. Do not disconnect the flight controller during flashing.

5. A message showing "Flash Another" indicates that the flashing process has completed successfully.

Troubleshooting: Flash Failed

If you encounter issues after clicking "Connect," you may see a prompt requiring you to click "Try Again". Repeat the flashing steps until the status indicator turns blue, signifying a successful connection. If this specific prompt does not appear, you can disregard this step.

Otherwise, the flash process has failed.
