Don't open it in LiteRadio_2 _SE_Updata.
Firmware update failed. can not turn on. Is there any way to initialize it?After updating the firmware, the remote control does not turn on at all. The remote control stopped responding to the power on and setup buttons
After having some annoying problems with the throttle gimbal and failure to resolve it using calibration, I decided to try and connect the controller to Beta Configurator. The configurator WOULD NOT CONNECT to the controller.
In the end, I ended up at this post and tried the old firmware updater (LiteRadio_2 _SE_Updata) which would connect fine. After flashing the device with the appropriate .bin file, the controller is now DEAD. It does not switch on any more. I can still put it in setup mode, but I can't control the drone with it.
This is extremely annoying. I bought this as part of an FPV kit, which means now not only is the controller JUNKED but also the drone and the goggles are useless to me
Please post a new firmware file ASAP that can be used with the old updater, or provide another means of fixing the problem.
DO NOT FLASH THIS FIRMWARE INTO THIS CONTROLLER (if you have the 2022 batch).
YOUR CONTROLLER WILL BE TRASH AFTERWARDS.
Everybody is saying it. It happened to me just now (built a brand new whoop today and got it all setup, but encountered issues with binding. I needed THIS firmware, but it breaks the controller completely. There is no fix... BETAFPV haven't even taken that link down. Honestly, this probably wasn't a mistake, and they just want you to buy their new December 17th 2024 version instead, because they figure people using this controller are beginners (rightfully so). If this happened to you, I highly recommend getting better and learning more, and finding a better controller that you can still bind with.
That's okay BETAPFV... I learned something today about some scary radio stuff. And I'm gonna learn more once I bind a different brand controller, to your Matrix 1s 5in1 (which I haven't enjoyed yet becasue you've done this).
