Please carefully identify the gyroscope model and download the corresponding firmware for flashing. You can check this by observing the gyroscope chip model in the flight controller hardware or by connecting to the Betaflight ground station, as follows:

When I attempt to update from 4.5.1 to this 4.5.3 using flash firmware in Betaflight it says no target found. Is there a trick to get the board into a mode to accept the update?
