All the brushless BNF drones use external receivers like Frsky XM etc. These include the 1S brushless whoop style Beta65 Pro, Beta75 Pro etc.
Frsky Rx Version
The Frsky receiver version uses the Frsky XM receiver. Here is a quick tutorial on how to bind the FrSky XM receiver with your Taranis Plus X9D/QX7 radio transmitter.
1) Click the bind-button meanwhile powering on the drone. Then the receiver will enter bind mode, indicated by red and green LEDs flash solid.
2) Now, on the radio, power on the radio and set the protocol mode to D16 mode. Then enter the bind status(or what it takes to enter bind status).
3) The red receiver LED should start to flash when binding is completed and successful.
4) Now re-power the drone and exit bind mode on your radio. The red LED should turn off and the green LED flash solid. This means the radio and XM receiver are connected correctly.
Here is a video manual by Project Blue Falcon about How To Bind FrSky XM & XM Plus Receiver.
DSMX Rx Version
Tip: DSMX rx version is NOT compatible with Spektrum DXe radio transmitter and OrangeRX RF module.
For some Spektrum radio transmitters like DX6i/DX6e etc, the DSMX receiver may have a horrible range with your radio transmitter, please change the mode to DSM2 (DSMX in default).
This issue is figured out by Micro Motor Warehouse.
The DSMX receiver version uses the Micro DSMX receiver. Here is a quick tutorial on how to bind the DSMX receiver with your Spektrum DX6 radio transmitter.
1) Click the bind-button meanwhile powering on the drone. Then the receiver will enter bind mode, indicated by the yellow LED flash quickly.
2) Now, on the radio, power on the Spektrum radio with the bind switch on. Then enter the bind status(or what it takes to enter bind status).
3) The yellow receiver LED should start to flash slowly. When binding is completed and successful, the LED flashes solid.
4) The receiver LED should turn into a solid light when binding is completed and successful. Now the connection is available and no re-power needed.
No need to bind every time the battery is replaced, native DSMX Rx could remember your transmitter.
